Kaufman And Broad Names Street For Antioch Boy

ANTIOCH, California, January, 5 1998 -- Nine-year-old Steven Stroud, battling a nerve disorder that affects his balance and coordination, has something to smile about. With the combined efforts of Kaufman and Broad, The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the city of Antioch, California, a street will be named in his honor.

Despite his disorder, Steven seems like any other fourth-grader. According to Steven, he's "just more wobbly than most people."

Although the symptoms can be treated, there is no cure for Steven's progressive disorder. To honor Steven for his courage, and to make sure he is always remembered, Stroud Way will be built in Kaufman and Broad's Antioch community, California Autumnbrook, this spring.

Steven has received his own personal street sign as a momento of this event. Kaufman and Broad has also made a donation to The Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of Steven.
