Give Hope, Give Life, Give Blood
LifeStream, the new name for the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, invites all healthy residents to give the gift of life this holiday season. There are several opportunities to donate blood. Select date for more details:
- December 5: 10 am - 4pm, Moreno Valley Visterra Credit Union on Cactus Ave.
- December 12: noon to 5:30 pm, Murrieta State Brothers on Hancock Ave.
- December 12: 11 am to 5 pm, Moreno Valley Papa Johns on Perris Blvd.
- December 20: 11 am to 5 pm, Perris Farmer Boys on the Ramona Expressway
- December 20: 11 am to 3 pm, Moreno Valley Home Depot on Perris Blvd.
December 5: 21st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
The public is invited to attend the City’s 21st annual Christmas Tree Lighting and a holiday concert Friday at the Perris City Hall/Civic Center Campus.

December 6: 10th Annual Lights on the Lake
Come join us for our annual Holiday Boat Parade & Car Show at Lake Perris. Bring an unopened toy worth $10 or more and get free admission to the park. Free admission to the event for all contestants.

Perris solar project wins prestigious awards
The “Solar Shine Program,” which kicked off in April 2006, is credited with cutting the city’s electrical consumption 20 percent. The project has also won several prestigious awards for the city including the Helen Putnam award and was a finalist in the international Urban Land Institute Sustainable Cities Award.
